"I just recently had a breast lift; I already had implants. Now, after getting the lift, my breasts are smaller.  I would like to get larger implants, however, my doctor advised me that it may or may not be possible, depending on how much room is available. I am now concerned that I will not be able to get the size I desire.  Any insight from you will be greatly appreciated."

If you cannot fit the size that you want now, then, if you wait a year, you may have relaxed some with time and could accommodate a larger implant at that time.  It may be prudent to wait that amount of time after your lift to actually see your final result. Be sure to try to keep the implant soft so you have a better chance of being able to accommodate a larger implant in the future. It sounds like your surgeon tried to make your mastopexy as snug around your current implant as he/she could, but I suggest waiting because the skin envelope usually is not as tight at one year postop as it is initially.  Hope this helps.
