"I am considering breast augmentation. I am 34 years old, medium framed, 5’4” and 125 pounds. I am extremely small chested (34 A/AA). I am unsure whether to get round or contoured implants; also, would the smooth or textured be best for me?"

The most commonly used implants have the round shape. Only a minority of plastic surgeons use contoured implants in all of cases. If you are concerned about an excessive amount of fullness on the upper portion of the breast you could ask in your consult if a contoured implant would be of benefit in your case. The breast shape after implants is largely determined by your preexisting breast shape.
If you are interested in saline implants you may want the smooth shell as the textured bag is a little more palpable (feelable). This is not as much of an issue if you are interested in silicone implants.
