Both implants will look exactly the same. The primary difference is that silicone implants have a more natural feel than the saline implants. Saline implants can exhibit ripples but usually only in very thin women with little natural breast tissue. Saline implants can deflate prematurely but silicone implants probably have a higher incidence of capsular contracture over time. At the present time silicone implants are only available to women having breast reconstruction or women who are enrolled in a clinical study.
